Over 600 residents join Van Hollen, Cummings, Ruppersberger, Sarbanes in Baltimore Town Hall

Senator Chris Van Hollen, Congressman Elijah Cummings (MD-7), Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger (MD-2), and Congressman John Sarbanes (MD-3) addressed a packed house at the Baltimore War Memorial in a town hall organized by Indivisible Baltimore, along with many, many volunteers from the local Indivisible community.

The full room — one of the largest town halls in the country during the Trump presidency — sent a powerful message that the Baltimore community will fight to protect our democracy and health, safety, and livelihood of our citizenry.  Congressman John Sarbanes (MD-3) said last night that this fight is a historical moment that will define his and his colleagues’  legacy.

Indivisible Baltimore would like to thank Progressive Maryland for co-sponsoring the event, The Real News Network for broadcasting the event, and the many volunteers and participants who made it possible.
