Urban Reads Bookstore Community Walk

Indivisible Baltimore is joining Urban Reads Bookstore, a Black woman-owned bookstore that has recently been the target of racial harrassment.

The owner, Tia Hamilton, opened the store to promote literacy and support Black residents, but has faced a barrage of racist messages and threats related to her work with the magazine State vs. Us, which focuses on mass incarceration and systemic racism. Despite the harassment, Hamilton and her bookstore have received significant support from the Baltimore community and beyond.
