“John Lewis: Good Trouble” Screenings
In honor of John Lewis Day: Join the fight to eliminate voter suppression.
Join Baltimore County Democratic State Central Committee Member Tyrod Haynes (District 11A) and special guests for a Sit-In Screening of “John Lewis: Good Trouble” at Pikes Studio Theater in Pikesville, MD.
This event honors the legacy of civil rights icon John Lewis and recommits us to the urgent work of protecting the vote.
There are two shifts for this event. One is for a visit to the lobby and sign-waving under the marquee (guidelines provided; donations highly encouraged). The other is for access to a free screening of the documentary.

Pikes Studio—formerly the historic Pikes Theatre—has been revived by Emmy award‑winning Broadway broadcaster Michael Eugene Johnson and reopened in May 2025 as Maryland’s only Black‑owned cinema. Its mission is to restore both classic and community‑centered film experiences in downtown Pikesville. Pikes Studio offers free community screenings every Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.
