IBC7 Book Club

Join us for the inaugural Indivisible Baltimore book club. This is designed to educate ourselves about the systems we struggle against and the most effective tactics to fight it. Our first book is The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together, by Heather McGhee.

We encourage you to order your copy from Urban Reads Bookstore, a local, Black-owned business that has been targeted recently by white supremacists. You may also borrow it from the library or listen to the audio.

We understand this may mean not everyone can attend (due to Father’s Day and other plans), but it’s important for us to fit it in before Leah Greenberg has her allyship meeting with Heather McGhee on June 24 from 4:00-5:30 p.m.

We will discuss this book both in June and at an upcoming date in July, so don’t worry if you only have time to start the book when you come. We will be deciding if we can also be in person, depending on who can attend.
